I'm going to give you the ultimate fudgy chocolate brownie recipe that both children and adults will adore. The best thing is that this recipe is mixed by hand so no need to bring out the mixer!

Can this recipe be altered to add variations like chocolate chips, nuts or dried berries?
Of course! Simply coat 100g of chocolate chips, dried berries or nuts in one teaspoon of plain flour and add it to the mixture at stage 6 of the method.

Can I make these brownies in advance?
Yes! These brownies are perfect for freezing, you can make them up to 1 month in advance. All you need to do is thaw them overnight in the refrigerator then bring to room temperature before serving.
Ingredients
150g Unsalted Butter, 90g coco-powder, 270g Caster Sugar, 2 Eggs, 1/4 tsp Salt, 80g Plain Flour & 1/4 tsp of Bicarb
Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and line a 7"x 11" dish with baking paper
Melt butter and leave to cool for 2 minutes
Once cooled, mix the melted butter, coco-powder, sugar and salt together with a whisk
Add the eggs, flour and bicarb to the mixture and whisk until all combined (no more than 1 minute of mixing to prevent over-beating)
Once the mixture has come together, pour into lined tin and bake for 45-50 minutes
Take out of oven and leave to cool for at least 4-5 hours before slicing
